Quick And Easy Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie

Inflammation has been shown to be responsible for 7 out of 10 deaths in America. But it doesn’t have to end this way, you can take steps to fight back and tackle it. In a relatively short amount of time you could start to sleep better, have more energy and stamina, lose weight, and maybe even have less pain.

Of course, there are some medications that can help deal with inflammation, but more and more people are opting to look for more natural ways to manage inflammation without the need for pharmaceuticals and their possible negative side effects.

This smoothie recipe may help you battle inflammation as it contains some ingredients that are known for helping to fight those everyday issues we all have. In addition to being fast, easy, and delicious every ingredient in this smoothie has been found to have inflammation-fighting properties. You could even add a little splash of organic honey to sweeten it up a little or a dash of cinnamon for additional health benefits.

Don’t be afraid to experiment and add in some of your favorite healthy foods if you think it will enrich the taste even more. For example, you could toss in an apple(cored), even this mild flavor could change up the taste while adding to the anti-inflammatory profile.

To make this inflammation-reducing smoothie you need: A blender; 1 cup of fresh chopped pineapple; ½ of a peeled and chopped organic sweet potato; 1 large peeled and sliced organic carrot; 1 inch of fresh ginger root; ½ cup of filtered water; and optionally a little bit of organic honey and/or cinnamon, and/or cored and chopped medium-sized apple.

Chop and slice the ingredients, then place all ingredients into the blender, and blend until smooth. Pour the smoothie into a tall glass and enjoy.

Note: Ice cubes could even be used as well if your blender is strong enough to make it a cool treat.

Additionally, when you are in a rush and don’t have time to eat, this smoothie takes moments to make so you can eat on the fly.

If you find yourself frequently in a rush it helps to clean and prep fruits and vegetables so they are ready at a moment’s notice, not only that but you may just find yourself reaching for a healthy snack if it’s there ready when you open the fridge door looking for something to munch on.

Most people are not reaching the recommended values for fruit and vegetables, experimenting with ingredients in smoothies may help you attain that goal as an added plus.

To help fight inflammation it is best to avoid smoking, refined carbohydrates, fried foods, soda, and other sweetened beverages, as well as processed foods.
