Improving Your Sexual Health

Many men face the frustrations that stem from trying to struggle to maintain an erection or even having one to start with, to ejaculation timing whether it be too soon or too delayed which can all negatively impact the sexual experience. These are problematic issues for men that can take a toll on a relationship as well as the man’s self confidence.

Libido is controlled by hormones, any changes in hormone levels can reduce desire and may in turn make partners feel undesirable or unloved; it does not take a mental health specialist to understand the impact that improved or decreased sexual health can have on any relationship. Vicious cycles can begin as the physiological negatively impacts the psychological and vice versa, as the cycle continues a man can spiral into self doubt that can rob confidence that no one should have to experience.

Any person in charge of their lives will seek out opportunities to improve the quality of their lives, but what many people don’t understand is that good sex and an improved sexual health is available to virtually every one by taking some simple steps.

It is perfectly fine to enjoy food, but don’t overdo it. When food is misused it can have a negative impact on the mind and body, healthy choices help us to benefit from the nutrition food provides. When it comes to intimacy issues eating is not just about food it is also about how to improve that ever important sex drive. Try to stick with unprocessed organic whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, grass fed sources of protein, as well as omega-3 fatty acids and other healthy fats. Avoid junk foods, those injected with hormones and chemicals as well as processed foods. Watch for foods that are packaged with plastic, BPA and phytoestrogens and try to avoid them.

One thing to keep in mind is garbage in produces garbage out, meaning putting anything bad into your body will yield bad results. This is good to remember when it comes to putting anything into your body, but it is also important when trying to discover how to increase libido naturally. Cigarettes constrict blood vessels and will not help with your erection, and while alcohol may help with setting the mood it will not do your erection any favors.

There is a strong connection between libido and exercise; it helps to improve muscle tone, circulation and stamina which all provide the foundation for the physicality of sex and releases all those feel good endorphins. Regular exercise can help to improve your love life, making it well worth the effort. Keep in mind that while you are exercising that there are certain activities such as riding a bike that can subject the genitals to injury so it may be best to take precautions, this also goes for similar activities like horseback riding or riding a motorcycle.

Anxiety, depression, and stress that can dominate our daily lives are the natural enemies of sex. These may even boil down to not getting adequate sleep, but whatever the cause may be it may be interfering with your sexuality. Try to find ways to reduce stress and improve your sleep such as reading, yoga, or meditation and you just may find improvements in other areas as well.

Confidence is your greatest asset, see yourself as worthy of having great sex, when you have everything going on this can create a boost in confidence in other areas of your life as well. Sexual desire is one of the most powerful of all human desires, and historically speaking research shows that men of great achievement had highly developed sexual natures.

Modern society has the advantage of the internet which can help to provide a wealth of information about literally anything imaginable. Don’t be afraid to do a search and expand your horizons but stick with reputable sources and make sure to double check anything that sounds way too good to be true or anything that seems off. To find out more information about sexual health, prevention, enhancement, and options talk to your physician or certified medical professional to find out what is best for you, don’t be afraid to ask questions, they are there to help you.
