Anti-Aging Tips For Women

Many women can recall their own mothers changing from beautiful and gentle into being restless and shocking them with sudden mood swings. The fact is their mothers were experiencing symptoms of their endocrine systems simply stop being as active, which includes their ovaries, pituitary glands, thyroid glands, and other glands responsible for production of hormones; this becomes the cause of health issues, memory deterioration, hot flashes, weight gain, and lack of libido.

In recent decades, with the help of anti-aging medicine, doctors have been helping women to get through menopause without significant negative impacts and disappointments. No longer do women simply have to grin, brace yourself, and accept becoming older.

“There are only two hormones that increase with age: leptin, causing obesity, and insulin, leading to diabetes, while levels of all other hormones go down. Due to the lack of oestrogen, the skin has less collagen and elastin. It becomes dry, causing wrinkles to appear and facial contours to lose shape. Reduction in testosterone leads to cellulite formation and loss of muscle mass, causing cheeks, buttocks, and inner arms to start to sag. So beware: a woman’s body begins to age long before the menopause. Time to act!”  says Dr. Thierry Hertoghe.

It does take time for a woman aged 35+ to control her hormone levels and correct them at the sign of imbalance, after 40 everyone could do with a microdose of bioidentical hormones as according to Hertoghe this is the way to stay healthy and continue to enjoy life in a way that previous generations were not able to.

There are those that suggest women who have been taking Hormone Replacement Therapy for extended periods of time to prevent the effects of menopause are more likely to be diagnosed with cancer more frequently. However, there are those that suggest this research was not conducted correctly, saying it was performed on women taking medicines that were not identical to human hormones and that every woman in the study was aged 60+ who were all prescribed the same doses all of which makes the research incorrect.

“European and American traditions with regards to hormonal treatment for mature women are significantly different. Even when looking at the test results, some old-school doctors miss the signs of the early hormonal disbalance and delay beginning a compensatory treatment. That is why it is very important to start HRT with an experienced doctor.”

In modern day there is no need for women to be worried or even scared about menopause. Anti-aging and regenerative medicine are continuously evolving and by conducting hormone level testing with an experienced doctor, HRT can be adjusted to the individual’s specific health profile needs.

If you are a woman that is looking for the best anti-aging tips that work, the key is to make simple lifestyle changes including managing stress, getting enough sleep, avoiding smoking and alcohol, staying physically and socially active, as well as following a healthy well balanced diet that is full of plenty of fruits and vegetables while avoiding processed foods and added sugars/sweeteners. To add to this it may be worth getting an advanced health check to gain insights into your hormone levels. Food and exercise influences much, but sometimes even that is not enough, an experienced doctor can help determine what is best for you.
