What 5 Studies Say About Delta 8 Gummies

Why is the research related to cannabis limited?

Currently, there are very few studies conducted about cannabis and hemp compounds. The government doesn’t seem to promote it and instead restricts the research. There’s not much funding for researchers to examine cannabis and discover its benefits. Even though many states have legalized cannabis, the federal government continues to enforce restrictions and regulations on the research.

So, when we think of medical cannabis, most of the research is mainly anecdotal. The majority of studies are on personal accounts, but you may hear about cancer patients’ usage to help against nausea. Others talk about the inflammatory properties and use of Delta 8 THC for anxiety and pain relief.

The United States classifies cannabis as a schedule 1 drug. This classification further restricts the research on it. However, there are several studies conducted in other countries. That coupled with accidental discoveries in other studies making a good THC and CBD case. Let us look at what five studies say about Delta 8 gummies and THC in general

Antineoplastic Activity of Cannabinoids

A study by the National Cancer Institute in 1975 regarding Delta 8 as a cancer treatment had a positive result. Researchers infected mice with lung cancer and used delta 8 THC to determine whether it had any effects. The researchers discovered that the mice treated with delta 8 THC for 20 days showed reduced tumor sizes. They also found that the survival time went up among the mice treated with delta 8 THC.

Further research for the same is less due to the legal status of cannabis in the US. However, there is an excellent chance that delta 8 THC could be a valuable weapon against cancer. Reports by the NCI suggested that Delta 8, Delta 9 and CBD, all had the potential to stop tumor growth.

Delta 8 THC Has Lower Psychotropic Potency Than Delta 9 THC

Another study confirmed that Delta 8 THC has a lower psychotropic potency than Delta 9 THC. Delta 9 THC is the primary ingredient in marijuana that causes a high. So, Delta 8 has less of a ‘high effect.’ The ‘high effects’ of Delta 8 vs. Delta 9 is about a 2:3 ratio, respectively. So, the high is controllable and described as clear-headed. The negative impact on concentration is lesser with Delta 8. It also causes significantly less anxiety.

More importantly, the medicinal properties are more remarkable and more beneficial with Delta 8. This benefit is especially great for people who don’t want to get high and still want to experience the benefits.

Antiemetic Properties Of Delta 8 THC

Consumers of Delta 8 THC have had a positive outlook on its antiemetic properties. The scientific research in Israel in 1995 backs the beliefs. The researchers used delta-8 to treat cancer patients who suffered from nausea to learn about its antiemetic properties. The sickness was mainly a side-effect of the chemotherapy.

The results of this research were ground-breaking. They found that delta 8 cured the nausea of the patients. Out of 480 treatments, the success rate was 100%, with negligible side effects.

Anti-Anxiety Properties

Research suggests that Delta 8 can be a tremendous anti-anxiety medication. Delta 8 is one of the anxiolytics that are medications to cure anxiety. As mentioned earlier, Delta 8 THC has much fewer psychotropic properties. So, Delta 8 intake will not cause any excess nausea or anxiety.

Increases Appetite & Supports Weight Loss

A 2004 study by Avraham et al. suggests that Delta 8 THC has a positive effect on Appetite. As many pre-existing consumers of cannabis believe, Delta 8 THC can make you hungry. The research backs that and also confirms that it alters neurotransmitter levels. Meaning it can potentially affect cognitive function as well. Another potential effect of Delta 8 THC is weight loss but with a lower dose.

Confirmed Medicinal Properties Of Delta 8 THC

From the research so far, we can confirm a lot of medical benefits of Delta 8 THC like:

  • Cancer-fighting properties and reduction of tumor sizes.
  • Good antiemetic properties to reduce nausea.
  • Inflammatory properties to reduce pain.
  • Anti-anxiety properties to reduce anxiety.
  • Appetite increasing properties with potential for weight loss with a lower dosage.
  • Lower psychotropic effects compared to Delta 9 THC.

Potential Benefits

The research is limited, and we can only confirm a few of such medicinal properties and benefits. However, there are potential signs that Delta 8 THC could have a lot more to offer. Delta 8 may have the potential to improve cognitive abilities and treat problems like Alzheimer’s. The 2004 study by Avraham et al. also suggests that treating mental issues with Delta 8 THC could be a good idea. There is research that already proves some effects of pain relief and inflammatory properties. However, we need a little more study to confirm these effects. Lastly, there is also a chance that Delta 8 THC can help solve addiction problems.

The future of Delta 8 THC promises a lot of further research to confirm all the existing and potential benefits. So, bulk Delta 8 gummies by manufacturers will have many customers who can use them for medical and recreational purposes.
