Regenerative Medicine Joins the Mission of the World’s

Preeminent Anti-Aging Professional Medical Organization:

A4M, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine,

Expands Its Educational and Training Scope

Since 1992, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M; www.worldhealth.net ) has been the world’s leading professional medical organization to highlight and embrace cutting-edge biomedical technologies with beneficial implications on the quality and quantity of the human lifespan. During the organization’s fourteen-year history, the A4M has embraced the vast potential benefits of some of the most promising aspects of regenerative medicine, most notably:

  • Stem cell therapeutics, technologies aiming to beneficially alter the very basic cellular sources of dysfunctions, disorders, disabilities, and diseases
  • Therapeutic cloning, technologies to develop ample sources of human cells, tissues, and organs for use in acute emergency care as well as the treatment of chronic, debilitating diseases
  • Genetic engineering and genomics, advancements that permit the identification and alteration of genetics to ameliorate dysfunctions, disorders, disabilities, and diseases
  • Nanotechnology, deploying micro- and molecular-sized tools to manipulate human tissue biology for microsurgical repair on a gross level, as well as microscopic nano-biology for repair at the most basic cellular level

Taken collectively, the advancements offered by anti-aging and regenerative medicine to improve the quality of, and/or extend the length of, the human lifespan, are the singlemost potent emerging biomedical technologies today.

The A4M continues to advance a new paradigm of proactive interventions for dysfunctions, disorders, disabilities, and diseases led by advanced biomedical technologies that usher in unprecedented innovations in preventive medicine. That is why the A4M has expanded its scope to now include regenerative medicine, and regenerative biomedical technologies, as part of its mission and educational training objectives.

The A4M leads the field of regenerative medicine by supporting certification and postgraduate education in this groundbreaking medical arena. The American Board of Anti-Aging / Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM) expands on the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine (ABAAM), which was established in 1997 as a professional physician (MD, DO, MBBS) certification and review board offering physicians recognition in the form of a specialty based examination in anti-aging medicine. ABAARM will also assess physicians’ knowledge and understanding of basic regenerative medical technologies and their implications for improving the quantity and/or quality of the human lifespan. In addition, the Fellowship in Anti-Aging / Regenerative Medicine will now offer postgraduate education in both of these progressive preventive health fields.
