Recall Alert: Tyson Chicken Strips

These ready to eat chicken strips were produced on November 30. 2018 at establishment number P-7221 and include:

  • 25 ounce plastic bags of frozen Tyson Fully Cooked Buffalo Style Chicken Strips Chicken Breast Strip Fritters With Rib Meat and Buffalo Style Sauce with the best used by date of November 30, 2019; case codes of 3348CNQ0317 and 3348CNQ0318; and individual bag time stamps from 17:00 through 18:59 hours.
  • 25 ounce plastic bags of frozen Tyson Fully Cooked Crispy Chicken Strips Chicken Breast Strip Fritters With Rib Meat with the best if used by date of November 30, 2019; case codes 3348CNQ0419, 3348CNQ0420, 3348CNQ0421, and 3348CNQ0422; and individual bag time stamps from 19:00 through 22:59 hours.
  • 20 pound cases of frozen Spare Time Fully Cooked Buffalo Style Chicken Strips Chicken Breast Strip Fritters With Rib Meat and Buffalo Style Sauce with the best if used by date of November 30, 2019; and case code 3348CNQ03.

No confirmed cases of injury or illness have been reported from theses products, however the USDA FSIS has received 2 complaints from consumers who had found metal pieces in them. It is advised to check your freezers for the products mentioned, do not eat them, throw them out or return them to the store they were purchased.

This is the second recall for Tyson this year, as in January the company had also recalled 5 pound plastic packages of chicken nuggets because they may have been contaminated with pieces of rubber.
