In Opening Remarks welcoming the scientific delegates to the academic program, Dr. Ronald Klatz, MD, DO, President of the A4M, reported on worldwide demographic trends and socioeconomic implications of aging. Robert Goldman, MD, PhD, DO, FAASP, Chairman of the A4M, highlighted the expansive global reach of the A4M’s educational programs
A focused educational forum featuring the most promising arenas of advanced preventive medicine, The 19th Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine’s Spring 2011 Session reviewed some of the most critical areas of healthcare today. The conference featured novel interventions for radiation detoxification and strengthening the immune system, as well as breakthroughs in medical areas ranging from weight management to diabetes, chronic fatigue to cancer, cardiovascular disease to cognitive decline. Highlights from the program involving over 90 world-renown speakers included:
Dr. Larry McCleary, MD, retired Chief of Neurosurgery at Denver Children’s Hospital, offered insights into the neurobiology of brain aging. Keynote Speaker Dr. Richard Isaacson, MD, Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, shared innovative non-drug approaches for the prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Dr. Dipnarine Maharaj, MD, founder and Medical Director of the South Florida Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Institute, presented a vision for “Stem Cells and the Future of Regenerative Medicine.” Dr. Sangeeta Pati, MD, Director of Sajune Medical Center (Florida, USA), coalesced anti-aging medical concepts by presenting case studies to “Put It All Together: Hormones, Nutrition, and Detoxification, and Body & Mind.”
Fellowship in Integrative Therapy Director Dr. Mark Rosenberg, MD, explained “Cancer Cell Manipulation Therapy” Dr. Pamela W. Smith, MD, MPH, Director of the Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Functional, and Regenerative Medicine, presented the concept of “A Personalized Approach to Health”

The Fellowship in Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine and The Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine each conducted multi-day intensive Modules that engaged more than 500 Fellowship participants. Fellowship training enables physicians to reaffirm to patients their utmost commitment to expanding their knowledge and competency in the very latest advancements in clinical aging intervention and regenerative medicine that aim to extend the youthful productive lifespan.
Comments Dr. Klatz, A4M President: “Aging is NOT Inevitable. Until recently, medicine has presumed that there is little we can do to intervene in the process of aging, but new scientific data reveals otherwise. The A4M represents 24,000 physicians, health practitioners, and scientists from 110+ nations. We encourage all who are interested in biomedical technologies to extend the healthy human lifespan to join the A4M.”
