Physical Activity Decreases Salt’s Effect on Blood Pressure

The more physically active a person is, the less his/her blood pressure rises in response to a high-salt diet. Casey M. Rebholz, from Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine (Louisiana, USA), and colleagues found a dose-response relationship and urge that: “patients should be advised to increase their physical activity and eat less sodium.”
