Lavender essential oil can help to promote healing processes; the soothing qualities can help to alleviate minor sunburns, wounds, and skin issues. When using this volatile essential oil topically it is important to dilute it in a neutral carrier oil which will also improve skin absorption. Tea tree oil can also help treat minor cuts and scrapes.

Peppermint oil can help with nausea and other digestive issues to promote proper digestion and relief from gastrointestinal problems. One drop of this essential oil to a warm glass of water or cup of calming tea can help to relieve some of the symptoms. Alternatively oregano oil can also help to alleviate inflammation and gastrointestinal issues as well.

Clove essential oil has sleep inducing properties, chamomile and lavender essential oils can also help to promote a calm sleep. One drop of chamomile oil to a hot cup of tea will help to soothe nerves, and a few drops of lavender oil to a pillow will provide a fragrant aroma that will last for days which can have a calming effect on the body.
