Nearly half of all patients will get cancer during their lifetime, yet more than 50% of these cases can be prevented. Learn the latest medical protocols in early detection, proactive prevention, and integrative treatment, at The Fellowship in Integrative Cancer Therapy.
The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) presented the second meeting for The Fellowship in Integrative Cancer Therapy in Boca Raton, FL USA on February 18-20, 2010.
One thing became very clear from this assembly: Cancer is everywhere.
Did you know?
- Nearly half of your patients will get cancer during their lifetime
- More than 50% of cancers can be prevented
- The majority of cancer patients are using adjunctive/CAM (complementary/alternative medicine) therapies with little or no guidance
- Only two-thirds of your patients with cancer will survive beyond five years
What can healthcare practitioners do to help their patients prevent and manage cancer? This very question is what prompted Dr. Mark Rosenberg to pioneer the Fellowship in Integrative Cancer Therapy (http://www.worldhealth.net/fellowships/integrative-cancer-fellowship/). Dr. Rosenberg is the Fellowship Director and has been involved in drug research since 1991 and recently appeared on Fox News for inducing remission on a patient with a metastic lung cancer (to liver and spine) that was refractory to chemotherapy.
At The Fellowship in Integrative Cancer Therapy that took place February 18-20, 2010, Module III “The Role of Radiation Therapy in Cancer Treatment” and Module IV “Assessment and Treatment of Problems Common to the Cancer Patient” were presented to a group of over 100 physicians worldwide. One attendee, Dr. Ines Alfaro said “After attending the modules, I feel that I have learned more, in the past four days than in the past three years, not only on cancer, but also on inflammatory disease management.” The knowledge gained from attending this Fellowship will allow practitioners to provide improved cancer treatments, allow better quality of life, and stay up-to-date on the latest cutting-edge therapies for their patients.
The Fellowship in Integrative Cancer Therapy speakers represented a distinguished roster of Cancer pioneers, thought leaders, researchers and experts across a variety disciplines:
- Dr. Donald Boyd from Yale University School of Medicine spoke about Nutrition, Micronutrients and Cancer Prevention
- Dr. Olivier Wenker from The MD Anderson Cancer Center spoke about Unconventional Cancer Therapies and Perioperative Integrative Oncology
Dr. Wenker said, “The Cancer Fellowship is clearly a clinical relevant learning experience for any anti-aging healthcare provider dealing with cancer patients.”
All healthcare practitioners, regardless of specialty, can benefit from this fellowship and can learn how to implement Integrative Cancer Therapies and protocols in their existing practice. Like it or not, sometime in the near future you will see a cancer patient or family member with cancer and want to learn the best way how to treat them.
