Robert Goldman, M.D., Ph.D., D.O., FAASP Elected to Top Post in Bodybuilding and Fitness / Elite Spo

Robert Goldman, M.D., Ph.D., D.O., FAASP, Chairman of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M; www.worldhealth.net ), the world’s largest professional organization dedicated to advancing research and clinical pursuits that enhance the quality, and extend the quantity, of the human lifespan, has been re-elected as World Medical Chairman of the International Sports Federation through 2011.

Dr. Goldman will assume key leadership position under Rafael Santonja-Gomez, Pharm.D., the newly elected International President of the Federation who serves as the first new International President to the organization in 60 years. Dr. Santonja replaces Ben Weider of Weider sports nutrition publications and sports equipment fame. In his capacity as World Medical Chairman, Dr. Goldman is charged with oversight of sports medicine elite training programs across the entire Federation, which numbers 178 nations strong and represents more than 2 million athletes worldwide.

Dr. Goldman has served as a Senior Research Fellow at Tufts University, and as an Affiliate at the Graduate School of Education of Harvard University. Dr. Goldman is a Clinical Consultant with Korea Medical University and also serves as Professor, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Central America Health Sciences.

In his capacity as A4M Chairman, Dr. Goldman, physician, research scientist, and surgeon, oversees physician education and training for more than 100,000 medical professionals from 90 nations annually. He travels to more than 30 nations a year to advance the A4M’s education and advocacy initiatives on advanced preventive medicine for improving the quality and quantity of the human lifespan.
