Thermal & Non-Thermal Effects Of Low Intensity Non-Ionizing Radiation

Compelling evidence shows that excessive exposure over long periods of time to mobile phone frequencies will increase risks of brain cancer. Mechanisms responsible for increased risks include gene expression alteration, DNA damage through epigenetic and genetic processes, and induction of reactive oxygen species.

Adverse effects on reproduction in both sexes has been demonstrated in both vitro and in vivo studies, most likely due to generation of reactive oxygen species. Growing bodies of evidence suggest exposures can result in neurobehavioral decrements with some developing electro-hypersensitivity or microwave illness syndromes of which symptoms are non-specific, however new biochemical indicators and imaging techniques allow diagnosis that excludes symptoms as being only psychosomatic.

Most national and international agencies have set standards that are not protective of human health, which is especially concerning among children given the development and ease of wireless technology use, hyperconductivity of their brain tissue, greater penetration of radiofrequency radiation relative to head size, greater susceptibility of the developing nervous system, and their potential for a longer accumulative lifetimes exposure.
