DURHAM — IBM and Duke University Health System on Thursday announced a collaboration to electronically link genetic research findings with patients' clinical records.
The “Duke on Demand” system will help physicians identify patients eligible for new clinical trials, as well.
For IBM, the partnership is part of a three-year, $250 million ramp-up in its health care computing. It also includes a collaboration with the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Center at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla. Officials said UNC Health Care System may also follow suit soon.
